Sue joined the little Structural Engineering practice of Alan Hutton Associates in October 2000 as an administration assistant. Her business knowledge was quickly recognized and she soon gave major support to our PA and book keeper. Sue's enthusiasm and energy was boundless and her secretarial skill were just what was we required. She quickly became our business development manager sifting through the maze of planning applications and writing and telephoning potential clients for work. Her skills also extended to helping with the programming of works in the office and tracking to make sure nothing was missed. She certainly kept the Directors on their toes. During her employment the relationships became more personal with Sue looking after our general health and welfare giving advice on overcoming our problems and ailments, just like a mum. She personally made sure everyone was fed and watered at the appropriate time and that all had their fare share when cake was on offer. It must be said that the Practice misses her since Sue left us but she did leave behind many happy memories. She was my star employee and I miss her energy.
